You talk to an independent concrete provider. That is a local business that pours and finishes new slabs. Presshonestly Concrete does not have crews. We make the introduction, and then the provider takes it from there.
What happens on the call
The provider will ask simple questions. Where is the property? What do you want built? About how big is it? Do you want plain concrete or a stamped pattern? Have you checked any rules for your street or neighborhood?
Some providers may set up a visit to look at your yard. Hours vary by provider, so you may need to leave a message. Many providers can respond quickly, but we cannot promise a time. Request a callback to check provider availability in your area.
What to ask a contractor
Ask before you sign. Here are good starter questions:
- Are you licensed and insured where I live? Can I see proof?
- Will you handle permits, if I need one?
- How thick will the slab be, and will it have steel bars or wire inside?
- How will water drain away from my house?
- What is the plan for heat and humidity on pour day?
- What does the written quote include and leave out?
- How long before I can walk or park on it?
- What comes with the work if cracks show up later?
You are in control
You do not have to hire the first provider who calls. Talk to more than one if you like. Compare the quotes line by line. Costs vary by job, so a written quote matters. If something feels rushed, step back. No obligation means you can say no at any time.
